Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the cosmopolitan city we live in is a melting pot of many ethnicities. In a multi-cultural society, hospitality becomes an important part of our lives, especially during festive seasons.
Needless to say, there is no dichotomy between celebrations and food. Food is usually the connecting point for celebrations.
As much as I enjoy food, sometimes it pricks me that I need to watch my weight, and when I realize that I had put on a little more weight, I am tempted to consider taking apidextra to help me keep in shape.
9 Years

This year marks our 9th year of marriage. Time flies so fast! Before we know it, we would be celebrating our one decade of marriage! I wonder if we would like to invest on wedding anniversary rings. I mean who would think a couple could have anniversary rings, too? 
Anyways, it’s always good to be reminded of wedding dates. It just makes us appreciate of how far we have gone through with our relationship with our spouses. I hope and pray we will live to experience a lot more anniversaries as a couple.
What is a Good Man

A good man doesn’t wait for Valentine’s Day to give flowers to his wife or girlfriend.
That’s what Victoria, my student, said.
And she added:
Like my teacher’s husband does.
Hehehe. Even my student noticed my very romantic husband. It is true. My husband gives me flowers once a month. And when I started going to school, he would send my flowers there. My students would be teasing me with ohhhhs and ahhhs! Hahahha.
I am not so much into receiving gifts but hey… who doesn’t smile when you get a bouquet of flowers every now and then, right?
My husband doesn’t only give me flowers but everytime he has extra, he would invest on buying gold for me. The last time he did for me was last year. Maybe I should remind him and suggest to buy gold online at Golden Eagle. 
What say you?
But then again, we can’t measure a man being good by what he does. There are other factors to consider as well. I am just happy that my man is good in many ways. I thank God for him.

Yesterday, my husband wasn’t around so the kids and I just spent our day at home, relaxing and listening to some Christian music. You are God by Scott Underwood was played and I kind of missed my music team.
We use to lead praise and worship at church. And no, I don’t play any musical instruments and I do admire people that know how. I especially have a special affinity for people who can play lead guitar.. what more if he’s using rickenbacker 620.
And so last night, when I was listening to the song that we used to sing and play, I kind of hit by nostalgia. I so missed those days when we would come to church on Saturdays to practice, go around places to do worship seminars and stuff like that.
Well, it made me utter a word of prayer for those who were part of the music team. I thank God for them.

If and Only If

What If- the title of the previous episode of Grey’s Anatomy. The episode was about things that did not happen but would have happened if.. Watching my favorite heroine in medical uniform married to someone who is not our McDreamy is very unsettling; it is beyond unimaginable. The episode was like a very bad dream where couples are not together and people are happy, not our usual Grey’s Anatomy.
Aside from it being weird, it made me realize a lot of things about our decisions and the consequences we face with every decision we make. Sometimes when I’m alone, I think of all the possibilities in my life; thinking of the things that might happen to me if I have chosen a different direction. Some of the things are very pleasant while some are quite frightening. Though I think that my life could have been different, maybe better, I would not want to change things the way they are.
Better may not always be the best for us. Better would not necessarily mean a happier us. Better is sometimes frightening.
Need to Move House

We have been in this house for almost 2 years now. For two years, I have been complaining on how the house has been so ran down. When it rains, it pours. Literally. Our master bedroom leaks. Oh… make it pours. When it rains it seems as if it rains inside our bedroom as well.
So yeah, I have been praying for a house to move into. I am actually dreaming we could buy a white painted house that would have a bedroom that wouldn’t leak and probably if it’s not too much to ask a bedroom that comes with a white bedroom vanity set.
It’s free to dream. Why not, right?

Drug addiction is undoubtedly one of the greatest problems faced by many today. While most people think that this dilemma is most common among the youth, it is actually a surprising fact that there are many adults who are drug addicts, as well.
Aside from addiction to drugs, more and more people are also having struggles with depression and alchoholism. These people need professional help—and lots of understanding and support from their families.
One of the keys to setting these people free from the bondage they are in is for them to talk and not keep feelings to themselves. The more they are open about it, the more they understand what needs to be done. What’s good about these social networking sites is that you get to ask friends about the latest movies they’ve seen, and what they would recommend for me to watch. I have so many movie titles in my list I wonder which one I should see first!
I love the fact that we could download movies in the internet. It’s unbelievably easy to find titles, and the downloading is quick, too! The best part? They have excellent quality, it’s as if you are just watching from a DVD. I should get a free youtube downloader too. That way, I can download my favorite movie clips… and my favorite songs that bring back good memories!
