Christian Woman’s Strength

A Christian Woman’s Strength
by Pastor Art Kohl
Introduction

The scriptures say in Proverbs 31:25, “strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in the time to come.” It also says in Proverbs 31:17, “She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.”

Without a doubt, God gives Christian woman strength. As with everything God gives us, we then become the stewards of that gift. We also become responsible to use it right and accountable for how we use it.

So take inventory, dear lady, of the strength that God has given you. How have you used it? The Lord has clothed you with strength. Whether you feel it is little or great is not the point. The point is: you will use your strength on something. You will direct it in some direction, either the right direction or the wrong direction.

This article is my desire to help direct your strength in the right way. The Lord’s way. With God’s help, I believe you will find that this booklet reveals three great principles that will assure your walking in the perfect will of God for the rest of your life. My prayer is that you will incorporate these three principles in every decision you make in your womanhood. Now pray, and read on with an open heart to the Holy Spirit to teach you. God has a perfect will for your life ladies. Don’t miss it for anything in the world!

Accidents do Happen

Yes, it does, to a small ones who have just started being trained to do something. Sometimes, they slip. And they need more understanding from those people who are training them. I am talking about my girl who just decided nappy’s not for her anymore. She wants to do the job on one of those Kohler toilets too. I don’t really train her per se… I just go with her pace. I didn’t want to force her to give up something she’s not ready to. And so, the time has come. There are accidents but I can see her sad face when it happens. But at least she started it on her own. She actually started a few months back. But she still wears them during her sleep at nights. I am in no hurry at all.

Hair Loss

I know that I need to start looking for hair growth shampoo a or even a shampoo that prevents hair fall. These past few months, I noticed that I have been having a massive hair fall. How did I know? Everytime I sweep the floor, all those strands show up too. That’s one of the blessings of not using a vacuum cleaner, isn’t it? :D Seriously, I need to do something about it. Maybe a hair oil would do, too? And what oil exactly, I wonder…

Face Your Giants

“And David said to Saul, ‘Let no man’s heart fail because of him: thy servant will go and fight with this Philistine.’”1 Samuel 17:32

All of us face “giants” from time to time. These “giants” try to do the same thing to us that Goliath did to the army of Israel- intimidate and bring fear. When the giants come we have to make a choice… are we going to let them make us afraid or stand up to them through the power of the Lord? David made the choice to not look at the size of the giant, but at the size of His God. So instead of running away in fear, he went out to meet his foe.

You can’t run from your giants, you have to face them. If you keep running from them, they will keep taunting you, and you will not have any peace. They will be out there every morning waiting for you, just like Goliath was there every morning… “in their face”. If your knees are weak because of the giant that keeps oppressing you, if you are feeling the urge to run, if you are wanting to go and hide somewhere from it, the word to you this morning is the same one that Davis spoke to Saul, “Let no man’s heart fail because of him.” Actually, it’s your word from the Lord… Don’t let your heart fail because of it. Because the Lord is with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you. You aren’t facing it alone, “Lo, I am with you always.” The Lord will fight your battle for you just like He did for David if you will put your trust and confidence in Him instead of fleeing in fear. The Lord hasn’t given you a spirit of fear, but power, love and a sound mind. Do what David did, look at the size of your God instead of the size of your giant. When you do, you’ll discover that your God is bigger. If the earth is His footstool, then in proportion, how big is that giant now? Besides, if God was big enough and powerful enough to bring down David’s giant, He’s still big enough and powerful enough to bring down yours today…. He hasn’t changed. So, be strong in the Lord and the power of His might, because God in you is greater than any giant.

Have a blessed day. Don’t run from the giants, stand and face them…and remember you aren’t facing them alone… the Lord is with you.

___________

Found this article today by devotions for women: A Ministry of “About the Master’s Business Ministry.”

It is so encouraging. I know it is so easy to say. And hard to do. But as God has promised, He will be with us. It’s also easy to run away from our giants… but like what this encouraging article says: if we will not face our giants, they will forever haunt us. Facing our giants may give us heartache, it may give us joint pain or whatever pain it can give us… but this is true… It can set us free.

Isaiah 50:4-7

“The Sovereign LORD has given me his words of wisdom,
so that I know how to comfort the weary.
Morning by morning he wakens me
and opens my understanding to his will.
The Sovereign LORD has spoken to me,
and I have listened.
I have not rebelled or turned away.
I offered my back to those who beat me
and my cheeks to those who pulled out my beard.
I did not hide my face
from mockery and spitting.
Because the Sovereign LORD helps me,
I will not be disgraced.
Therefore, I have set my face like a stone,
determined to do his will.
And I know that I will not be put to shame.”

Isaiah 50:4–7

encouragement for today
Here is a glimpse of what life on earth was like for Jesus. He daily depended on God. He submitted to the humiliation and suffering of the cross. He trusted that he would not be put to shame, despite the mockery. He was talking about the shame of trusting in God in vain. He knew his trust would be vindicated, that God would help him each step of the way. It is this kind of relationship with God that Jesus opened up for us. He made the way, so we too can trust God each step of he way.

Got It!

I just got the book I bought from eBay. If you’re curious as to what book I bought, it’s “How to Succeed at being Yourself” by Joyce Meyer. It’s all about finding your confidence to Fulfill your Destiny. I admit, it took me really long to start to understand what confidence in the Lord really means.

Anyway, right after I finish the book by Norma Day, I would definitely read this one. I just have to get that reading lamp with one of those clamps to light up again and I would read my heart out again.

Isaiah 48: 17-19

“This is what the LORD says—
your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:
‘I am the LORD your God,
who teaches you what is good for you
and leads you along the paths you should follow.
Oh, that you had listened to my commands!
Then you would have had peace flowing like a gentle river
and righteousness rolling over you like waves in the sea.
Your descendants would have been like the sands along the seashore—
too many to count!
There would have been no need for your destruction,
or for cutting off your family name.’”

Isaiah 48:17–19

encouragement for today
If you’ve ever struggled with doubt about the goodness of God’s intentions for you, memorize these verses! God teaches what is good and leads you along the right paths. He wants peace, righteousness (everything made right in your world), fruitfulness, and abundance for you. Don’t settle for anything less than God’s good intentions for you.

Bidding on eBay

I posted about bidding and buying a book by Joyce Meyer. Somebody sent a comment about books by Francine Rivers, where she did a study of some of the prominent figures in the Bible. I searched for that book and found out the title was: Lineage of Grace.

I saw a used book which was auctioned at 99 cents. I wanted to bid, but there was already a bidder. I know that when you start bidding on ebay, it is so fun and before you know it, the price goes up and beyond your budget. And so I just put it in my watch list and saw 3 bidders.

Imagine. It was first auctioned at 99 cents. It was sold off at 10US$. If I bid for it and won, might as well buy a new one from MPH, right? Hmmm… good thinking there I got. LOL. The shipping fee went for 16US$ and so it would have cost me 26$ for a used book.

Now I am thinking whether I can find hgh supplement on auction also? LOL. :D

Me and my eBay madness.

My Book Reflections

I haven’t followed through with my reflections on the book I am currently reading by Norma Day. I am almost finished with it by the way… but I don’t have time to blog about what I think about it. Will need to seriously finish it so I can go ahead and read other books and do my reflections too. For the meantime, I’m thinking of doing pronexin reviews… maybe I can shed some light regarding acne and it’s treatment. But I need to sleep now. Perhaps I do it tomorrow.

Note: using perhaps in my sentence reminds me of a friend from Norway. He used a lot of that word, instead of maybe. And it sounded classic actually. And so I started using it too. :D

Joyce Meyer and Ebay

The other Sunday, we didn’t go to church for some reasons. And so I searched on some sermons online to listen to. And then I chanced upon Joyce Meyer’s teachings on being a Confident Woman. Actually, I saw and listened to the Enjoy Life, Enjoy Yourself first. And so I started listening to her.

Joyce Meyer is one amazing woman. I thank God for her gift of teaching. She is just so encouraging. You know there are a lot of teachers outhere… but I loved JM’s teachings, especially on dealing with the inner attitude. There’s not a hint of hypocrisy in her. There’s not a hint of condemnation in her teachings but full of encouragement, especially in our walk with the Lord.

What’s got to do with ebay on this? Well, I couldn’t get enough of her youtube teachings and hen I searched at the Amazon for her books, they’re a bit more expensive. And so I logged back to ebay (which I left for a long, long time), searched for second hand books, and found “How to Succeed at Being Yourself.” Now I am just waiting for it to arrive. It only costs like US$2.oo+ and so I bought it. Might be a good idea (since I’m at it already) to find age spots removal. :D A friend thought I was older than my age. Sigh. Anyways… now that I am back on ebay, things are getting more and more exciting.

What’s more exciting is that I can find cheap books that are otherwise sold in the market. Book values don’t depreciate… I mean the content. So even if it comes second hand, it is still as good as new.
